Coop-Recipe for a good cat: 4 cups of playfulness 2 teaspoons of cuteness 3 tablespoons of cuddles 1 quart of love 5 ounces of curiosity Mix all these ingredients together and the result is Coop! He is a handsome, outgoing, 5 year old male who is looking for his forever home. He loves to be the center of attention and would be a great addition for someone who can shower him with affection. He would prefer to be the only cat or in a home with a non assertive female cat. So come adopt him today so that he can say he “flew the Coop”! More about Coop: Coop is an awesome guy but choosy about his people. He was adopted as a kitten and had a wonderful home where he slept with the teenager and wanted to be part of the family. He is an outgoing guy and loves attention. But when they moved to a neighborhood with many stray cats, he became upset just seeing them out his window. He totally changed causing the family to give him up. This has now put him in just the situation that tormented him - being around many cats. He has been here since May 2021, in a room with three older females, with whom he gets along. He is a big good looking fellow who will make a wonderful pet as long as he's the only one getting all your attention. He likes to pick his people and will come up to you for pets. He would be good as an only cat in a home without small children, or with another female cat who is non-assertive. DOB: 2016, neutered, up to date on shots, FeLV/FIV neg; microchipped. Jefferson - a very sweet and affectionate boy with gorgeous black fur. He can be shy at first, but when he warms up to you, he is a loving boy. He was found as a single kitten on a country road not far from the shelter in Sept 2022. He has been in foster care ever since. He was in very bad shape when he came in and had to battle several health issues these last few months, but he is fine now. He had an excellent foster mom and vet care. Jefferson is incredibly laid back unless he’s chasing after a treat! He especially loves playing with different sized bottle caps plus his favorite hedgehog toy. He also plays with the laser light and any kind of wand toy. He does have a habit of sounding like a pug sometimes (due to his sinuses being damaged by URI's when he was young kitten) and from behind resembles a baby bear cub. He also likes being brushed. DOB: 6/17/2022; Neutered, vaccinated, Neg for FeLV/FIV; microchipped. If at all possible, he would like to be adopted with his foster mate, Monaco, a sweet tabby female. Introducing Little One, aka Little One Campbell, a very sweet 4 year old orange tabby who is not so little anymore! When he first arrived at Forgotten Felines in October 2018, he was semi feral and very scared. He was extremely fearful of people and really gave the medical team a run for their money whenever they tried to examine him! Little One was then moved into the main house at the shelter in an attempt to socialize him more. Fortunately, over the years, he has really come out of his shell. Now, when you walk into the house to feed him, he jumps onto the kitchen table and greets you! He used to not let anyone touch him, but now he likes being pet. Little One gets along with other cats but would definitely do best in a quiet, adult only home. He can still be a little shy, so he would need someone who will be very patient with him. He is FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on shots and microchipped; DOB: 6/23/18. So if you would like to give Little One a home for the holidays, come and meet him today! Melisandre- also known as Mel, needs an adult home where she can be put on a diet and where her owners will have lots of patience with her. She came to us in Mid -November 2022. Her owner had passed of cancer 3 years ago, so then his mother took her. Now the mother has to go to assisted living. When cats lose the only home they have known, it takes a while assimilate into another environment and get used to new people. She needs someone willing to show her what a loving home can be again. Our volunteers are working with her, and she does enjoy gentle petting and sitting on your lap or next to you on the chair or sofa. She loves a window to look out to watch the birds and squirrels. We recommend and adult home with no other cats. She reacts badly when other cats are around. She did have exposure to a dog for a couple days without incident in her previous home. Mel needs a person who has lots of feline experience and can read cat signals. Mel likes petting for a short time, but then she wants to be left alone. DOB: 2016; spayed, shots, FeLV/FIV neg.; microchipped. Front declawed. She had to battle several health issues these last few months, but she is fine now. She had an excellent foster mom and vet care. Monaco is a ball of energy! She loves to play with all kinds of toys, especially playing keep away from her foster brother, Jefferson from another mother lol. Her most favorite activity is jumping on her foster mom's head to groom and play with her hair. She plays with all kinds of toys and loves jumping on pillows. She also has a great time playing inside any kind of tunnel toys. If at all possible, she would like to be adopted with her foster mate, Jefferson, a sweet black short hair male. Mouse- Meet Mouse, a 6 year old female who first came to the shelter after being trapped outside. Although her name would suggest she is meek and mild, she is actually outgoing and friendly with the volunteers. Mouse is very playful, and she especially loves chasing the laser pointer. Even though she can sometimes get overstimulated, she is usually an affectionate cat who likes to be pet, once she learns to trust. She gets along with other cats but she prefers to be the center of attention. Mouse eats Friskies wet food and Purina dry food. Her adopter should feed her primarily wet food and not freed feed to get her weight down. She will need an experienced cat owner. Mouse is more suited to an adult home or with older children. She is FIV/FeLV negative, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. So come meet Mouse and maybe you can play a game of hide and squeak with her! 610-760-9009 line #2 ; submit online application at www.forgottenfelines.org . visitation is by appointment only. Perki & Gotham-a wonderful, bonded pair looking for a home. Rescued by a volunteer back in November and she has been fostering them ever since. They were the sweetest kittens even at their sickest. When found they were severely malnourished and sick about 6 month old kittens. It has taken the last 3 months on various medications and supplements to be able to get these two kittens healthy. Due to their past sinus issues, they may be "chronic snufflers". Perki had a nasal polyp removed. Perki is a very petite sweet little girl that will steal your heart as she curls up to sleep on your chest. Gotham is her bigger more outgoing brother that will make you laugh by his daily antics. They are the friendliest & most amazing cats; they are great with kids, dogs and other cats. They have daily cuddle sessions on their favorite chair and love watching out the windows. They want to be included in everything, following their foster mom around doing laundry, chasing the automatic vacuum and trying to help cook even if they know they are not allowed on the table. They are spayed/neutered; FeLV/FIV neg.; up to date on shots; microchipped. DOB: May 2022. They need to be adopted together. Apply at: www.forgottenfelines.org 610-760-9009 opt 2. Stevie -He has been blind since a tiny kitten but does not seem to know it. His eyes were destroyed by severe untreated infection. His rescuer vetted him, but there was nothing they could do for the eyes, except enucleate the one eye. They other eye was determined not having any sight either, so our vet enucleated that after Stevie came to the shelter. He was found on a farm where there are lots of strays due to drop-offs. The owner just cannot keep up on health issues. Stevie is a normal, active, playful young cat who enjoys people and would make a great best friend. He loves to explore, play, can do stairs, and gets along great with other cats. His main adaptation to being blind is that he follows the noise and thus will follow his human around a lot. He would not be recommended for someone with limited vision or balance issues, or with small children going in and out doors. His ideal home would be with someone who enjoys activity and companionship and possibly has other cats he can play with and give him company. Stevie is neutered, FeLV/FIV neg; vaccinated, microchipped. DOB: April 2022. He eats 3 cans of Fancy Feast daily and some dry food.
