Guest Book

We’re proud to celebrate 25 years of Compassion in Action here at Forgotten Felines & Fidos.  Throughout these many years, we’ve rescued thousands of cats and kittens, and found loving forever homes for them. We’ve also spayed and neutered thousands of felines, helping to reduce the number of unwanted cats in the Lehigh Valley, and helped many communities with TNR programs. Our volunteers have helped not only our cats, but you, our wonderful supporters, throughout this quarter of a century. We’ve tried to match you with your perfect furry companions, offered vaccination clinics and low-cost spay/neuter programs and provided advice on many other issues surrounding pets as well as feral cat colonies.

We’d love for your to share your memories of our organization, our volunteers and most lovingly, cats or kittens whom you’ve adopted from Forgotten Felines.

Please, in honor of our anniversary, sign our Memory Book and share your stories.

After losing my first indoor cat of 21 years, we visited FFF and wanted to adopt 2 cats. Gary picked one out almost instantly but it took me forever to pick one (Hercules). They were complete opposites, but that was what I picked. Weeks later I found out that FFF said I would be returning Hercules because he wouldn't work out. Needless to say Hercules adopted us and he settled down and became buddies with Annie. We then started fostering other cats and kittens for FFF and enjoyed every minute. Working with Dick, Sue, Therese, and Linda B was enjoyable. We had to give up fostering but we never stopped supporting FFF It is a great organization and thank goodness for all their hard work and dedication to the furry critters. Keep up the good work !!

You have been an awesome supporter of the shelter- adopter, volunteer and foster family. We are so grateful for your involvement in the shelter. Our supporters are wonderful and hearing their stories helps to keep us motivated to continue the mission of the shelter. Thank you for reaching out and for being such a great supporter! =^.^=

Nine years of waking Betsy and Ringer....2 great dogs-I still miss them. Working side by side with Dick and Sue—doesn’t get better than that. Seeing such dedication by them, Therese and the countless volunteers was and continues to be an inspiration. I took in many cats from FFF——Ivan, Cleo, Maggie, Molly, Mack, Charlie, Precious Princess, Jazzy and Roscoe.....all rascals! I miss being closely associated with FFF since our move a few years ago. Glad though to see all the happenings through Facebook.

Gilbert is my favorite - I know I’m not supposed to pick favorites, but he is 🤷‍♀️ and he loves me back more than any of our other pets 💕 I still remember walking into FFF 11 years ago and asking for an adult female short-haired cat - any color but black. I walked out with Gilbert - a long-haired black male kitten just a few weeks old. Fate knew what I needed 🙂 or maybe the volunteers at Forgotten Felines are just that good at what they do. It really doesn’t matter. Gilbert will always be my love!

We always say that the cat or kitten picks you! Gilbert must have known what you needed and fell in love! So happy to hear your adoption experience was so successful! =^.^=

I adopted 2 senior cats Norman and Giz. Wonderful kitties. After they passed, I adopted Taz and Zoey who are the best! Taz is absolutely an awesome cat with a great personality. Thank you for all you do!

Thank you for sharing your memory. We are always happy to hear from past adopters. Along with all the duties involved with keeping the shelter purring, our volunteer work hard to socialize our kitties. We think that extra attention is what makes our cats and kittens so special. Norman, Giz, Zoey and Taz are lucky to have been adopted by you!

One Saturday my daughter urged me to come visit Forgotten Felines with her after the loss of my cat Spooky. He was the most beautiful long haired black cat with green eyes. He followed me through my home and would sleep under my bed every night. He cuddled with me every chance he could. When he passed it broke my heart. I was never a cat person but losing him put a hole in my heart. Coming to FFF to "look", a couple brought in a litter getting their innoculations. We held the cuties and I decided to give 2 of the litter a home. Well, they keep my Labrador hopping! They love him! So glad I came just at the right time! Love my kitties!

We are so sorry for the loss of Spooky. We're sure that your two new additions will give you hours of fun and help with the healing process. We would love to see a photo of the two new additions with their Labrador playmate. Sending hugs your way from all of us!

Forgotten Felines and Fido's have been helping me for nine years. Teaching me how to trap and control the population of a cat colony by my home. The staff is exceptional, friendly and always good for a couple of laughs. Their kindness has helped me with TNR, fostering and adopting of over 60 cats and kittens. Sue tought me how to care for bottle fed kittens and even helped with day care while I worked. I am happy to celebrate all the years of your service to the community!!

I would be remiss if I did not thank FFF for my sweet Aries. I met him at an adoption day at Petsmart in Whitehall. We should have changed his name to Snuggles! They did a fabulous job socializing him. I have also had great experiences having other cats spay and neutered at their facility. Thank you for all the work you do. A prime example of how important volunteers are to an organization!

We first meet Sue, Dick and Therese 17 years ago when we lost our beloved cat Cinnamon. We were looking to adopt two cats and they had a perfect pair, brothers with the names of Jumbo and Cheeko. It was love at first sight and their relationship with each other was so precious. We also realized quickly what a wonderful, caring organization FFF is and have stayed in touch throughout the years. Thanks for you do! It’s invaluable!

Thank you for being both one of our adopting families and shelter supporters. We have the hardest working volunteers around and specialize in matching you with the purrfect kitties!

Back in 1996, I lost my lilac point Siamese, Blossom. I was only 5 when we got her and 23 when she passed. I was heartbroken. A friend from work who volunteered with FFF brought me someone new to meet. Her name was Jasmine and she was a gorgeous Tokinese/Siamese. I swore I wasn’t ready for another kitty yet, but Jasmine won me over. I adopted her and decided she was more of a Jezebel than Jasmine. Jezebel was, and will always be, my most favorite pet. She passed in 2009. We had been through it all together. She was there for me when some humans were not. She was with me for a few moves, even when I moved in with my now husband. She was with me when I had my baby. My son was not even a year old when she passed, but I remember the day clearly. I wish she could’ve been around longer so my son would’ve had the pleasure of her memories, like I do. I still tear up thinking about her. I think she rescued me more than I rescued her. I will love her forever and I’m so glad I got to spend my life with her.

We adopted the cutest little bundle of fluff from Forgotten Felines & Fidos, Inc. 5 years ago. I was so impressed with the professional and caring nature of the volunteers. The shelter itself is clean and odor free. The volunteers followed up with a phone call to be sure that the adoption was working out. The little ball of fluff is now big happy cat who keeps us entertained on a daily basis.
